Hey, Dear Readers. I've got a recommendation for you, but you have to act fast. Really fast. Like, it expires this weekend fast. Hulu pointed me toward a new (to me) show. Andy Richter starred in 6 episodes of a show called "Andy Barker PI" where a CPA gets mistaken for a PI.
So, if you feel like killing your weekend on Hulu, check it out.

This is why your newspaper is dying
As newspapers transition to online media, it is becoming clear that they don't get the internet. Sad, but true.

StarCraft
Well, dear readers, it's blogging time again. Kate is at work, I am at home alone, and I don't feel like doing laundry.
What have I been doing for the last two weeks, you ask? I don't remember. But I can give you one thing. StarCraft. You see, my lab and Matt's lab both play a decent amount of StarCraft (for those of you who are unfamiliar with it, it is a strategy game where you command an army of humans, alien bugs, or alien robots against another player commanding a similar army). Not a lot of StarCraft, but a good bit. It's our lab bonding time. And recently, we've been talking about doing a tournament.
So, to make a long story short, today was day one of our double-elimination StarCraft tournament. I'm not terribly good (because I generally go home to my wife while the single folks play), but I thought I could at least beat somebody. I was the second lowest seed (yes, we did a seeding and everything), so my first round was against the second-best player. He thoroughly destroyed me.
My second round was against YiZhou (which I am sure I am spelling wrong)- a Chinese student in Matt's lab. I've beaten her before, so all I had to do was keep my head and play it safe. It turns out, I don't like playing it safe. I took a huge risk at the beginning, knowing that if I survived the first 5 minutes, I could easily wipe her off the map. And I didn't survive the first 5 minutes. She totally read my play, and took me out.
So, I'm out of the tournament. Sad :(
