Happy Halloween!

Well, dear readers, I have a Halloween treat for you.  It's the Survivor of the Flames, carved onto a pumpkin.

If you're not nerdy enough to understand my treat, you need to read the Mistborn trilogy.  That'll nerd you right up.  Yes, I'm asking you to read 3 whole books to understand a throw-away joke on my blog.  Trust me, it's worth the read.

As a side note, I'm super-excited for the new Mistborn book to come out next week!

I've already got a hold on it at the library--and I'm the only one! mwahahaha!

Awesome. I love it when I can evangelize Brandon's work. Even if you don't buy it, I'm glad you're going to read it. Super-enjoyable books, those Mistborn novels.

I missed my chance to buy a signed copy, I think. Which is unfortunate. And my copy of Towers of Midnight is not signed. (I bought it in Puerto Rico on the honeymoon, because I am a HUGE NERD.)

But I have finally started it, on the plane down to see Mom and Dad. The first 300 pages are pretty good. He keeps setting up confrontations that have been brewing since like book 1. I am hoping that by the end of the book some of these will actually get resolved. And some annoying people will die. (Looking at you, Dain Bornhald and Jaret Byar.)

I'm a Mormon.
